Tips to Prevent Varicose Veins






















Varicose veins are unsighty, painful and requires surgical intervention. It is mostly found in women on pregnancy and by genetic problem in lifestyle factors.

Varicose veins are pumping blood back to the heart, which the blood flows upward by reversing gravity. The varicose veins have leaflet valves keeping the blood moves in correct direction. However it has problems, the leaflets will allow some blood flowing backwards as it leads to discomfort.

Here are the few steps to prevent from Varicose Veins:
  • Take care while you sit and stand. For better circulation, avoid cross legs while seating and maintain better posture. The circulation affects when you stand or sit for long time, so better take breaks frequently for stretching the legs.
  • By a Doctor's prescription take socks and compression hose, it will help the blood flow upward to the heart by applying pressure to lower legs.
  • Keep your weight down to decrease the risk of growth of varicose veins. Doctors recommended to exercise daily like cycling, walking and swimming.
