Corn Syrup

High Fructose Corn Syrup, the Hidden Sugar in Foods

Many foods that we eat in our daily life are loaded with cheap and unhealthy High Fructose Corn Syrup [HFCS]. Corn Syrup or corn sugar is a commonly added sweetener which has possible adverse health effects.

Those foods which surprisingly contain corn syrup are packed fruit juices, baking ingredients, breads, breakfast cereals, beverages and sodas, waffles, ketchups and spreads, sauces, dressings, dairy products like flavoured yogurt, snacks and soups!

The side effects of the regular consumption of HFCS include weight gain (most common), dental cavities, poor nutrition, and increased triglyceride levels which can boost the heart attack risk.
