Top Tips to Fight Dreaded, Deadly Fevers this Monsoon

AT HOME:



  • Change water in flower vases at least every alternate day. Refill with fresh water after scrubbing the vase clean.
  • If you have flower pots, remove water that collects in the saucers/plates under the pot every alternate day.
  • Ensure there's no stagnant water in your garden drains, roof gutters or sun shades. If you can't clean up any of these spots, add pesticides to the stagnant water. When leaving your home remember to cover the toilet seat.
  • Check if the water dripping from your air conditioner is creating a puddle outside the window.
  • Use herbal mosquito repellent 24 hours a day.

AT WORK:


  • Make sure that water from decorative, ornamental plants in the reception or at your work station are changed more often.
  • It there are big flower pots anywhere in office, check them to see it there's stagnant water around them.
  • If you work in a fancy office that has a water fountain, it might be a good idea to get it shut down for a while.
  • While the weather is hardly conductive, experts say that wearing full-sleeves, avoiding shorts is a good idea for a while.
