GUAVA - 'THE PINK PEARL OF YOUTH'

Although Guava's origin is Mexico / Central America / South America, it is now cultivated and enjoyed all around the world. Having a delicately delicious / sweet taste, angelic pink color, and host of health-giving properties, it is prized around the world. Guava contains approximately twice the amount of lycopene (super antioxidant) as tomatoes and in a fashion that is more absorbable / usable. Lycopene ingested before being exposed to the sun showed an impressive level of protection to the cellular integrity throughout the skin.

Sunburn was significantly lower in those with higher lycopene in their bodies than in those without. This effect is not just limited to rays from the sun.

In fact, lycopene decreases the natural side-effects of all core energy production / metabolism (free radical damage) in the body, making it a powerful anti-aging ally or "fountain of youth.

" Guava also has potent amounts of Vitamin C, Fiber, Folic Acid, Potassium, Copper, Protein, & Beta Carotene (Vitamin A).

In addition, Guava leaf extract has demonstrated to be more powerful than ibuprofen for menstrual pain & holds strong antibacterial properties (particularly with stomach issues).

Containing a high level of pectin (a gelling agent), it is widely used around the globe to make jams, jellies, and preserves.

Fresh Guava juices are also highly popular and often combined together with the leaves to gain the additional medicinal properties they hold.

Guava can also be found in certain lines of Kombucha (GT's brand, for example: http://goo.gl/ZKPgY - *Kombucha is a fermented / 'live' beverage containing probiotics.), often found in health food stores.

Give this sparkling pink pearl of youth a nice welcome sometime soon and she'll return your hospitality with her powerful anti-aging gifts!
